SCHOOL LIBRARY

 

Locating in the second floor of school premise is our school library, which offers facilities to students including books and collections usage, computers equipped with internet for data and information searching and also a temporary study corner for those who are in need.

 

Books and collections

Over the years, our library was engaged in increasing as well as renewing the categories and number of books so as to meet the various expectations of users. There are about sixteen thousands books and collection in the library currently.

 

Computerized facilities

There are four computer sets in the library available for use by students. Apart from the general computer functions, these computers are equipped with SLS integrated library system that has been put into full operation since 1995 and the SLS-Union system that has been linked the system to other schools for catalogue database sharing.

 

Activities

Usual library activities organized and organizing include new books display that introduces updated library books to students. Chinese riddle competition, an annual event after Lunar New Year. Book fair offers various kinds of books to teachers, students and parents for their purchasing. The subject-based book exhibitions are theme-book display activities.
